Citycon starts renovation of Kristiine shopping center in Tallinn
"While we will from Tuesday start construction work on the second
floor of the atrium, within the area of the future O'Learys entertainment
center and sports bar, the comfort of customers should not be impacted by the
construction of the first stage," Mati Pops, chief of Baltic
operations for Citycon, manager of
the Kristiine mall, said in a press release.
"Pathways have slightly been redirected at the entrance closest to the
car park, but all shops, entrances and car parks during the current stage of
construction are still open at their usual locations. We will try to disturb
customers as little as possible with the works, but we apologize if we
nonetheless cause anyone any inconvenience," Pops said.
The renovation will be carried out in stages. The O'Learys sports bar along
with bowling lanes and a movie theater are to be completed by spring. The plan
during the various stages of renovation is to refresh both the exterior of the
center as well as interior solutions, while walkways will also be made more
comfortable. For the renovation work Citycon
entered into a contract with construction company Oma Ehitaja.
