A man was arrested Thursday in connection with a January robbery of Cash Saver.

Flores

Michael Junior Flores, 49, is charged with aggravated robbery, evading arrest or detention with a motor vehicle and possession of a controlled substance. He remained in the Wichita County Jail Saturday afternoon in lieu of $32,500 total bail.

According to an arrest warrant affidavit for the robbery:

On Jan. 3, an employee from Cash Saver, 2720 Southwest Parkway, called the front desk at the Wichita Falls Police Department to report an aggravated robbery.

The employee said a man, later identified as Flores, arrived at the store and went to the pharmacy area to get a prescription filled. A pharmacy employee said Flores was acting "weird" and was pacing while she was helping him. She said he left the pharmacy area without incident after the script was filled.

Flores then got a cart and proceeded to "shop" and fill the cart with items from the store. Once he filled the cart, he walked past the registers without paying and left the cart sitting near the entrance inside the store. He then walked outside, back inside through a different entrance, past all the registers again and toward the cart he originally left near the other exit. Flores grabbed the cart and left the building without paying for any of the items.

An employee approached Flores just outside the entrance doors, identified himself as a loss prevention employee and told Flores he needed to return the items to the store and come inside with him. Flores started jumping up and down telling the employee, "Let's go. I'll mess you up," as if he wanted to fight the man. He then told the man he needed his medicine when told he needed to come back inside.

The man told Flores he wasn't going to get anything from the cart and Flores pulled a knife out and said, "I'll cut you. I'll stab you." The man stopped trying to reason with Flores and backed away from him. Flores got into a vehicle and left the scene.
