A Harveys Supermarket will take over the Winn-Dixie on Clearlake Road in Cocoa.

Harveys Supermarket will open its first Brevard location in Cocoa.

The grocery chain will take over where a Winn-Dixie currently operates in the Clearlake Square Plaza on Clearlake Road.

The existing Winn-Dixie store will convert into a Harveys Supermarket in early August, said Joe Caldwell, Southeastern Grocers Corporate Communications Manager.

Harveys is a sister company to Winn-Dixie and both are part of the Southeastern Grocers network of stores. Southeastern Grocers is also the parent company of BI-LO and Fresco y Más.

This is the grocery chain's first venture into the Central Florida market. Six other Harveys Supermarket locations will open across the state, including a store in Orlando, Jacksonville, Tampa, Winter Haven and two in Ocala.

Harveys currently operates 70 stores throughout Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina. Eleven of those stores are currently in Florida.
