Aaron Rodgers has come a long way from Chico, and were not talking air miles. Tuesday he met with the Dalai Lama in Dharamsala, India.
So hes got that going for him, which is nice.
Rodgers was born in the Sacramento Valley and rose to prominence as a college quarterback at Cal. He is currently under contract with the Green Bay Packers and, if the supermarket tabloids are to believed, Danica Patrick.
Rodgers came bearing gifts, including a Packers hat and an NFL football which the Dalai Lama is shown holding by the points. Dont believe me? See for yourself.
It wasnt immediately known if Rodgers handed the ball to the Dalai Lama, and if so, whether he hollered Green 19! first. Or if he tossed the ball to the Dalai Lama, and if so whether the Dalai Lama made a football move to signify a legal catch.
The look of joy on his face indicates he did.
It bears noting that Rodgers and Patrick didnt just happen to stumble across the Dalai Lamas front porch. They were enlisting his help in a charity crusade to distribute hearing aids to people around the world.
The best part about the visit for Rodgers? He didnt have to sit outside while the Dalai Lama called 23 other players first.
