Editorial: Pakistan is superstore of terrorism

With freezing most of its security aid to Pakistan, Washington still failed to nail Islamabad down to its knee for its highly supports to the different militant outfits with sole aim of undermining US-NATO mission in Afghanistan in the war on terror. The crackdown on Pakistan was meant to compel it to act comprehensively against terrorists that hell-bent on destroying Afghanistan. However, Washington and Islamabad’s relation is already on tenterhooks and will now grow ever more tenuous, especially after President Donald Trump’ said “They (Pakistan) give safe haven to the terrorists we hut in Afghanistan, with little help. No more!” He added, “The United States has foolishly given Pakistan more than 33 billion dollars in aid over the last 15 years, and they have given us nothing but lies and deceit, thinking of our leaders as fools.” But these efforts have went to vain so far, as even recently during Islamic Conference in Indonesian Pakistan infiltrated vastly to stop scholars from issuing Fetwa against the Taliban with terming their current war against Islam. Some social media users by reading a Pakistani newspaper headline wrote that Pakistani scholars successfully failed attempt of religious scholars to issue Fetwa against the Taliban in the conference. That has further unmasked the evil face of Pakistan with indication that this country will never shun supporting militant outfits through any ways and means, even by using scholars to continue war in Afghanistan. Now Islamabad’s meddling on Afghanistan’s affairs is clearer than before, and with killing of Lt General Shahid Aziz, who also served as the Director General Military Operation of Pakistan, Islamabad proved once again its direct military interference in Afghanistan besides supporting various terrorist groups. According to reports, Aziz want to compensate for what he had done in favor of the US troops, and therefore, he was in Afghanistan wherein he was killed. But the interesting point is that former army chief general of Pakistan, Pervez Musharraf said that Aziz had grown a beard and gone to Syria. It simply reminds me of post twitted by former head of National Directorate of Security (NDS) Rahmatullah Nabil, writing, “Pakistan is just like superstore of terrorism. You can find any sort of terrorist there! Terrorist in uniform, without uniform, retired, long beard, short beard, shaved, foreigner, young, old! any type of terrorists, just name it!” Moreover, Amrullah Saleh, who also served as NDS head, has twitted, “Pakistan Army (retd) Gen. Aziz killed in Afghanistan while mentoring terrorists target Resolute Support and ANDSF. He was a terrorist in uniform who lead Taliban from rear in 90s and one of the masterminded of SSG deployment in Kunduz in July 2001 later evacuated in Evil Flights deal after 9/11. RI HELL.” Reason behind bringing these two tweets of our young and talented politicians is because they were in NDS and have fully knowledge of Pakistanis that’s why Islamabad fears their presences in security institutions. However, our brave Afghan security forces with support from international community, will chase all the evil forces like Aziz, and will bulldoze them all.
