THEY WERE RESPONDING TO A BANK ROBBERY AT THE BANK OF NEW HAMPSHIRE. THEY SAY LOMBARI IS NOT CONNECTED TO THE BANK ROBBERY IN ANY WAY BUT FOR SOME REASON , PANICKED WHEN HE SAW POLICE FOR INTO THE PARKING LOT. THEY SAY HE IS ON BAIL FOR A DRUG OFFENSE OUT OF RAYMOND. WHEN OFFICERS WALKED INTO SHAWS TO SEE IF THE SUPERMARKET SURVEILLANCE CAPTURED CLUES FROM THE BANK ROBBERY, THEY HEARD TROUBLE. >> WHILE AN OFFICER WAS IN ATTEMPTING TO PULL SURVEILLANCE , VIDEO AND TALKING TO EMPLOYEES IN THE GROCERY STORE HE HEARD A , COMMOTION IN BACK ROOM BEHIND THE DELI. SOME EMPLOYEES CAME RUNNING OUT AND SAID A MAN JUST PARTIALLY FELL THROUGH THE DROP CEILING IN THE DELI. AND THEY STARTED TO FLUSH HIM OUT AT WHICH POINT HE AGAIN CAME , THROUGH THE CEILING BY THE DELI WHERE SOME OFFICERS WERE STANDING. JEAN: THE STORE WAS EVACUATED WHILE POLICE WENT INTO THE CEILING TO COAX OUT LOMBARI AND MAKE AN ARREST FOR CRIMINAL MISCHIEF, TRESPASSING AND RESISTING ARREST. >> HE WAS BASICALLY SCARED. A man was arrested after he fell through the ceiling of a grocery store in Dover, New Hampshire on Thursday. Officers were responding to a bank robbery when they heard a commotion at the Shaw's supermarket. Police saw Eric Lombardi's, 30, legs hanging above the store's seafood and deli section. Officers cleared the store, and Lombardi partially fell through the ceiling again above the store's refrigerated meats. Police eventually convinced him to come down and he was arrested on charges of criminal mischief, trespassing and resisting arrest. Police said Lombardi was on bail for drug charges.It is unclear how the man got into the ceiling. Police arrested a different man in connection with the bank robbery.
