CEPA launches tender to expand San Salvador Monseñor Óscar Arnulfo Romero Airport

EL SALVADOR. Port commission Comisión Ejecutiva Portuaria Autónoma (CEPA) has launched a tender to expand the terminal building of San Salvador Monseñor Óscar Arnulfo Romero International Airport.

Interested parties are required to register on the government procurement website CompraSal and attend a meeting and site visit on 19 December.

Bids must be submitted with a US$1.1 million bid bond by 15 February. The contract will be awarded within 60 days from that date.

The contract will be for 435 days, 365 of which must be used to complete the physical works.

CompraSal documents state that the project involves the construction of a three-level building covering 21,673sq m.

The first level will house airline offices and ground support services, plus warehouses for duty free stores. The second level will have five passenger boarding gates and waiting areas, a VIP lounge and duty free stores. The third will host the arrivals area.
