COVID-19 setbacks have dealt a huge blow to small businesses in Seattle (and far beyond), which makes your participation in this year's Small Business Saturday—a day dedicated to shopping from independent makers—especially crucial. If you're not sure where to start, consider hitting up the West Seattle Junction or downtown Renton for a day of deals; checking out one of the Capitol Hill businesses participating in Shop the Hill; stopping by Ballard's coffee shop/mail delivery site Sip and Ship for some holiday-card productivity (knowing that 10% of proceeds will benefit Mary's Place); shopping from vendors that were slated for the now-canceled Asian American Pacific Islander Arts & Crafts Fair; visiting Theo Chocolates on Saturday and Sunday for first dibs on their holiday collection; or supporting various local vendors at the Georgetown Trailer Park Mall Past Event List 's outdoor holiday market.
