GARNER, N.C. — Two lucky Food Lion employees won a $1 million prize.

Benjamin Haynes III, of Garner, and Laura McGhee, of Angier, bought a ticket at the Food Lion on N.C. Highway 50 in Garner, where they both work.

Their winning ticket matched all five white balls in the Feb. 1 drawing -- a 1 in 11.6 million chance.

Haynes and McGhee claimed their prize Friday at lottery headquarters in Raleigh. They split the prize, each taking home $356,250 after taxes.

Powerball drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday on WRAL News at 11 p.m.
