April 26 (SeeNews) - German supermarket chain REWE said on Friday it will open a new Penny store in Romania, its 378th in the country.
The new store is located in Nusfalau, in the northwestern county of Salaj, and will operate starting April 27, the company said in a press release.
The Nusfalau store spans 856 sq m and has 58 parking spaces. It marks Penny Romania's second new store of 2024, after the one opened in Moinesti in February.
REWE entered the Romanian market in 2005. The company employs over 6,500 people in the country and has four logistics centres - in Stefanestii de Jos, Turda, Filiasi, and Bacau, which serve its network of stores.
