McDonald’s is helping customers kick start their week with what seems to be another deal drop offer. Available exclusively through the app, customers can save themselves money when ordering with the fast-food giant.

For one day only, customers can save £2 when spending £10 on their McDonald’s favourites. Whether treating friends to lunch or ordering meals for the whole family to enjoy for dinner, customers can tuck into iconic menu items for less today, Monday, March 31.

And that’s not all Deal Drop has to offer this week. From Monday, March 31 to Saturday, April 6, McDonald’s is offering a free single Sausage and Egg McMuffin or a free 6 Chicken McNuggets on delivery orders.

However, there is a catch - it is only available when either £10 or £15 is spent on the app. Regardless, if you do go ahead with the deal, you will be able to earn points if you opt into the MyMcDonald’s Rewards.

The scheme means every penny spent equals one reward point, so this week’s offer will allow app users to rack up points whilst also saving on their order.

Alternatively, customers can also donate the cash equivalent of their points to BBC Children in Need, FareShare, and Ronald McDonald House Charities to support the charity’s commitment to funding and supporting youth work and reducing food poverty and waste in the UK.

All deals are exclusively available on the McDonald’s App, and customers can start earning points on all orders by downloading it via Google Play or the Apple App Store.

It comes after the company’s Lord Street branch recently reopened with a new refurb. The city centre venue, owned and operated by local franchisee Tony Higdon, reopened after a ‘convenience of the future’ redesign, having been closed for renovations since January.

The revamp includes a new restaurant layout with the latest technology to create a more seamless experience for customers. Some of the key changes include a front counter redesign, which will create specific areas for different sales channels, meaning more space for customers to enjoy their meals, less congestion around touchscreens, and shorter queues.

There is also a dedicated courier entrance, allowing the crew to better accommodate courier needs, alongside reducing congestion in the dining area to create a more relaxing restaurant environment for customers.

The kitchen's redesign includes a bigger order assembly area and dedicated areas to prepare dine-in orders, which will help the crew serve more quickly, efficiently, and accurately.

The redesign of McDonald’s kitchen and dining areas also improves digital sales channels and the McDonald’s App and makes smarter use of internal space to enhance the dine-in experience. The restaurant will also now offer table service. You can see it in full here
