WITH spring in full swing and sunny weather gracing Scotland, cherry blossom trees are beginning to bloom.

Symbolising fresh beginnings and renewal, the iconic cherry blossoms only bloom for two fleeting weeks, making their arrival truly special.

Scots searching for the perfect Instagram-worthy photo or simply a peaceful stroll will be thrilled to know that some of the finest spots to admire cherry blossoms in the country are within easy reach.

Over the next fortnight, Scotland is expected to see a 37 per cent surge in visitors to parks, as trees transform into breathtaking pink and white displays.

According to a recent survey of 2,145 participants conducted by the travel platform Selfcatering.co.uk, one town stands out as one of the best places to admire these stunning trees.

Just 40 minutes from Glasgow, West Argyle Street in Helensburgh is considered the highlight, thanks to its mile-long avenue of pink cherry trees, which has been cherished for years.

This scenic spot is perfect for striking photographs, with wedding photos regularly taken here as well.

In addition to West Argyle Street, more pink cherry trees can be found gracing Colquhoun Street, West Princes Street, John Street, and Lomond Street.

Meanwhile, white cherry trees elegantly line Stafford Street and West King Street in this picturesque seaside town overlooking the Firth of Clyde.

To help visitors explore these beautiful trees, the Helensburgh Tree Conservation Trust has produced a leaflet and map guide, which is available for download from their website.

Travelling to Helensburgh from Glasgow takes less than an hour by car, while ScotRail trains from Queen Street Station whisk visitors to this blossoming beauty spot in just 37 minutes.

Elsewhere in Scotland, Edinburgh boasts several stunning locations where cherry blossoms are set to bloom.

Braidburn Valley Park offers a tranquil oasis in the heart of the capital, while The Meadows is an ideal spot for capturing the beauty of the trees.

Princes Street Gardens, nestled beneath Edinburgh Castle, is perhaps one of Scotland's most iconic locations.

With the castle as a dramatic backdrop, the gardens are blooming alongside seasonal plants such as tulips and daffodils.

Lastly, Kelly Burn Bridge in Dollar, Clackmannanshire, provides walkers with a spectacular spring display, as blossom trees line each side of the burn.
