If you are allergic to certain nuts, you might want to be careful about which chocolate-covered candies you consume.

Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Company, a Hawaii-based company, is recalling some of its chocolate-covered macadamia nuts due to undeclared almonds and cashews, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

This is the second time the company has issued a recall on undeclared nuts for the same product this year.

No illnesses have been reported to date.

Why is Mauna Loa recalling its chocolate-covered macadamia nuts?

Mauna Loa says it discovered potential traces of almonds and cashews in its 0.6-ounce and 4-ounce bags of Mauna Loa Dark Chocolate Covered Macadamias during routine inspection, according to the FDA.

People who are allergic to almonds and cashews can have severe or life-threatening allergic reactions if they eat them.

The Mauna Loa chocolate-covered macadamia nuts were sold in 16 states and the territory of Guam.
