Toronto Has Voted: Baro Takes Home Notable 2017 ‘Best Restaurant’ Award

TORONTO, Nov. 23, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- On the cusp of its one year anniversary, Baro has swept up the top award for ‘Best Restaurant”, living up to its reputation as one of the hottest places to eat, drink and be seen in Toronto.

The announcement was made last night at the 2017 Notable Awards, where more than 500 people mix and mingled with the best of Toronto. Notable categories included Best New App, Notable Leader of the Year, Rising Reporter and Entrepreneur of the Year.

“Thank you to everyone who voted Baro as the 2017 Best Restaurant,” said Colin Denton, General Manager of Baro. “It has been such an incredible year for us. We are humbled to be nominated and honoured to accept this award as voted by the people of Toronto.”

With a menu of steady hits and a vibrant ambience to match, Baro has certainly earned its reputation as a go-to dining destination for great food, unique cocktails and a buzzing spot for nightlife.  If the numbers are any indication, Baro is already surpassing expectations with the restaurant bringing in thousands of guests each weekend.

“When we were conceptualizing Baro, we had to ask ourselves ‘What will set Baro apart from so many talented restaurants?'” said Matty Tsoumaris, Partner at Baro. “The answer was to elevate absolutely everything… the food, the space, the vibe, the flow and then match that the consistent delivery of seamless experiences. That was the key.”

Baro also made the highly anticipated 2017 Best New Restaurants by Toronto Life earlier this year and the restaurant has no plans of slowing down.

“The goal for Baro is to continue making waves of a different kind moving forward,” said Denton. “The vision is to become recognized as one of the Top 100 Companies to work for and we think that is very attainable in a few short years.”

Baro is located at 485 King Street West and is expected to soon open its all-season rooftop in Spring 2018.

“Thank you Notable and all of Toronto," said Denton. “We promise to remain committed to an elegant and comforting menu, incredible cocktails, impeccable service, and, even after multiple visits, to never disappoint.”
